Market Manager Assistant Internship - Live-in long term position.

Assistant for Local Farmers Market Needed at once. Year round Position.

Opportunity to make a difference in a local community by helping set up and run the local farmers market. 

This market is taking EBT/Snap (food stamps) and credit cards. We also have a new program, "Take a coupon, Leave a coupon" to help out in these lean hard times.

No monetary assistance at this time. Strictly room & board.

Housing will be at local farm, who is also current Volunteer Farmers Market Manager.

Position requirements: Assistant will be able to locate, write and obtain Grants for Farmers Markets. Grants needed are for monies to pay a Market Manager, long term goals, community kitchen, community events, music for market and working capital. Intern will also work at keeping this market 501c3 Non Profit compliant. Marketing of the market, seeking out and signing up long term producers of produce, crafts and other avenues of income to support the market.

This market is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.

Other duties will be to help set up, take down, run Market, currently open on Wed. afternoons 3 to 6, and Saturday Mornings 8 am to 1 pm. Arriving a minimum 1 hour before market opens and staying a minimum of 1 hour after market closes.

Other requirements will be to help cook, clean and maintain housing and farm duties with host farmer.
